Alpha Theta Omega Christian Sorority, Inc. was founded on March 11, 2002, at Middle Tennessee State University by Visionaries Ailisha Vaughn and Aileen Cunningham. What began as a God-given vision has grown into a thriving sisterhood of women united by faith, purpose, leadership, and service. The vision was simple yet powerful: to create a safe and supportive space where women could connect, grow, and encourage one another while living out their faith and purpose.

The foundation of Alpha Theta Omega is deeply personal. As triplet sisters, Ailisha and Aileen have overcome significant life challenges, including homelessness, time in group homes, and personal adversity. These experiences taught them the importance of community, resilience, and having people who believe in you during life's most difficult seasons.

With prayer, determination, and a heart for serving others, they set out to build the very sisterhood they wished had existed for so many women seeking connection, support, and purpose. Through the dedication of our Historical Charter Founders and countless women who embraced the vision, Alpha Theta Omega became more than an idea. It became a movement.

Today, Alpha Theta Omega has expanded beyond its founding campus and continues to impact women across the nation. Our sisterhood reflects women from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and communities who are united by a common desire to grow, lead, serve, and make a difference. We are committed to developing women spiritually, mentally, socially, and as leaders within their families, careers, churches, and communities. More than two decades later, our mission remains the same: to create a place where women are seen, supported, challenged, and empowered to become everything they were created to be.
