A: Anyone seeking membership with Alpha Theta Omega Christian Sorority, Inc. must have a strong foundation in their faith, be connected to a local church, and be committed to personal growth and purposeful living. We are a community of women who are intentional about leadership, service, and becoming the best version of themselves. Alpha Theta Omega is open to women of all races and backgrounds who align with these values and are ready to grow, lead, and make an impact.
A: To begin the membership process, all candidates must first attend an informational session hosted by Alpha Theta Omega. This may be a local chapter information session or a national virtual informational.Following the informational, candidates will be guided through the next steps in the membership process.To get started, please visit our Contact Us section and complete the inquiry form. A: No. Alumni and graduate membership is extended to women who hold a degree from an accredited college or university, or who are at least 30 years of age and petition for non-collegiate membership.Undergraduate membership is reserved for women who are currently enrolled in an accredited institution and have completed a minimum of fifteen (15) college credit hours.In addition, Alpha Theta Omega offers alternative pathways for women who align with our mission and values:Non-Collegiate Membership – Designed for women who have not completed a college degree but are mature, purpose-driven, and committed to personal growth, leadership, and service.Spiritual Mothers – Honoring seasoned women of wisdom and faith who provide guidance, mentorship, and covering to the sisterhood.Honorary Membership – Extended to distinguished women who exemplify excellence, leadership, and impact within their communities and beyond.
A: For undergraduate membership, candidates must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Please note, if your institution requires a higher GPA, we will honor and default to that standard.For graduate membership, candidates must provide proof of degree from an accredited college or university.Women who are 30 years of age or older without a college degree may be eligible to apply for non-collegiate membership, based on alignment with our values and commitment to growth, leadership, and service.
